“They realized they were lucky – because they could actually see it – how the trees got more beautiful each year…how they danced with such graceful pride, surviving each season’s change…and they knew their beauty lied not in the perfection, but the growth…and they could really see it – in the trees, the people around them, and some days, even in themselves………and so they  would dance” – Lind

When I was at home for Thanksgiving, I went to a basketball game with my high school, the Nogales Apaches, going against our rivals, the Rio Rico Hawks. It was pretty odd because I never really went to the games when I myself was going to high school. I am pretty sure the only games I ever remember going to was the football games, but that was to see our band perform their state winning routines. I saw a lot of my old teachers in attendance, but didn’t say hi because figured most wouldn’t even remember me. Which is good, because I wanted to roundhouse kick some of them in the face, outside moronic counselors.

The game itself was a lot of fun surprisingly. Nogales definitely had the better players, but Rio Rico for sure has the better teamwork. In the end, we ended up winning by one point.

Didn’t really take pictures of the game of course. My real reason for going was to see Cynthia perform at a game for the first time.
