Katherine flew into San Francisco on Friday and in less than 1.5 seconds she had a wedding dress in her hand. Niamh (as MOH) and Katherine had planned to visit a couple of boutiques in the city, but there was no need. She came out in this dress and we literally all gasped. It was just one of those things that had to be done. Random Asian Mom and her Daughter that were trying on dresses themselves agreed. I was definitely not excited that I was brought along on the dress shopping excursion, but I instantly agreed that no other dress will match what she bought.

Still though, lots of wedding talk made me want to chug a bottle of champagne.

They both look like models.
I hate them.
But I love them.

The wedding looked like a blast. I totally wish I could have gone, but I will get to see them at their Seattle reception in June.

Check out the full set of pictures of their amazing wedding in South Africa HERE.

They come back to the States in two days!!!

Faith, I will be in NYC from April 29 to May 5th, you should visit.

Dear Monica & Aaron,

Both your families are awesome. All your friends are amazing. You guys shine with such love that I felt blessed to have been there to capture it. Thank you for inviting me to be part of your special day.

And, I am sorry that I ate most of the cake.

I love the picture above. The emotion in Aaron’s face after their first kiss as a married couple says it all.

Here we go. Once again we have another year zooming by, but unlike other years, when I look back at this one I think “HOLY F*CKING SH*T!!!!” To me, it seems like so many people around me are more than ready to say goodbye to the year 2009. I can truly honestly say that I don’t share that sentiment in the slightest. It is hard to explain why without making me sound like I am boasting, but I am going to do it anyway.

This time.
I’ll have no fear.
I’ll be standing strong and tall.

I still can’t believe the awesomeness that was this trip. I started the trip with two amazing friends and ended up with even more wonderful friends. From the 14 hours bus rides, the two day boat journey down the Mekong, the sickness, the craziness that is Bangkok, floating the Viang Vieng river, crashing a motorcycle in Laos, eating amazing food in Vietnam, meeting the most wonderful people in Cambodia, exploring the ruins of Angkor Wat and relaxing on the beautiful islands of Thailand. So. Incredibly. Amazing.

I spent a month in Africa
1 - Table Mountain Victory
Spending time with one of my best friends Tfaith, meeting and becoming secret lovers with his future wife, conquering Table Mountain, camping the Garden Route with a backpack and a blanket, conquering pickpockets and scary alleyways, introducing South Africa to power hour and having my life changed in a small township outside Cape Town. Africa…..there are no words to how incredible it was.

I saw two of my best and closest friends marry each other

My mind is blown away by this year. Exploring San Francisco, visiting Omid in Houston, Jordan’s Bachelor Party in Phoenix, seeing my sister dance, Halloween in the Castro, Stanford games with Niamh, Fourth of July in Seattle, San Antonio Debauchery, Atlanta Debauchery, New York Debauchery, Jumbo Margaritas with Brian, conquering the world with Deborah, crazy adventures with Micah, seeing my sister dance. I know I am forgetting so much, but that is good because there was just THAT much that happened in 2009. Thank GOD for picture sets to remind me forever.

e la vita la vita si fa grande così…….e comincia domani

It was the year I decided to follow my dreams, and most importantly I did it finally being myself.

I guess I am scared to ring in the New Year because it is going to be really hard trying to top this last one. But you know, its going to be one hell of a fun time trying.

…and if the world decides to catch up with me, it’s a little victory. – Matt Nathanson

“It just couldn’t have been a more perfect day,” the Bride’s mother exhaled. A truer statement could not have been made that day. I was standing on top of high cliffs, overlooking Muir Beach, sweating through my shirt because I was so nervous. While it was a small casual wedding and ceremony, it was still my first, and I didn’t want to screw up the pictures in any way.

It was a simple idea, use the Muir Beach overlook to have a beautiful, free and simple wedding. Nothing fancy, but fancy is not a requirement I quickly learned. Together in front of their family and friends, Tristan and Aubyn, made a solemn and tearful oath to love, honor, and cherish. In that moment it seemed like their love extended far beyond the view the cliffs could provide.

I want to thank you Tristan and Aubyn, not only for letting me feel at ease behind my camera, but for welcoming me into such a private and heartfelt moment with you, your family and friends.

I took so many pictures, and I am happy with the end results. While I would love to post them all, I would rather not throw my new iMac out the window just yet.

But you can have a look at them at their personal gallery.
