I actually cooked something and we were all able to eat it (without gagging). Calabasitas, which is quite possibly my favorite side dish of all time, especially when you melt the cheese on top. It is Boomtown, as the lovely Kendra would say. I got the recipe from Evelia Childs herself. It was delicious, although there were some changes and spices here and there that should be added. With my Tostadas and now this I can make one complete Mexican meal! Next goal? To conquer the world.

Ellie found out that I had never tried Spam before and kept insisting that I do. So one night Brian and Ellie invited me over for some twice baked potatoes and some Spam.
Its like eating a heart attack in a can. I thought it was delicious. Spam parties should be a normal occurance.
Justin decided to invite some friends over so he could use us as guinea pigs to try his turkey dinner. This was the first time he had ever done a turkey. It was very good. I ate like a fatty.

Needless to say, just by looking at the cover I was a bit apprehensive.
I really had no idea what to add to this one, so I just decided to add some more vegetables. Aka broccoli.
Scary picture and sauce aside, it was actually pretty tasty. If I buy it again I would add a meat and more vegetables next time. Good job Korean store lady!!
This one was not as successful as my first noodle attempt from Aurora Korean store. After cooking it, I definitely realized that it needs a more oil based sauce mixed with it, otherwise, it will become stuck together and make the longest noodles IN THE WORLD. I will show in pictures:
Package didn’t really come with any directions, it just said Boil and serve with favorite sauce. LIES!
Of course I wasn’t just going to boil the noodles and eat them. I though adding some chicken, sauce, and snowpeas would do the trick.
Once it is cooked. You notice that they are unlike any noodles the white peepz are used to seeing (like Micah).
Deborah said you have to cut them and then they are good. Well thats a lie as well. Since cutting the noodle up wouldn’t really solve the sticky problem. Also, I don’t like to cut noodles taller than my sister.
The end result wasn’t so bad. It just wasn’t good either. I am pretty sure if I had used the right sauce it would have been fantastic. But, this one gets a 5/10. Hopefully the next one will have better results!!
I love it when I cook and it comes out in that certain degree when it is actually edible. It also makes me feel as if I am saving some money, when in all reality I probably spent more on all the ingredients than if I would have gone out to eat somewhere cheap. It also makes me feel fatter since I have eaten the entire box of pasta by myself over the past two days. Although, I don’t feel as fat as Brian at least.
Don’t you love it when you finally have food and are able to cook stuff!? I do.
